Admission Requirements

Applications are accepted year-round and new students can be admitted for every academic term at VUST. Applicants are advised to allow sufficient time for the University to complete its admissions and academic evaluation processes if the applicants desire to begin their studies at VUST in a specific academic term. Students residing outside of the United States must allow additional time for scheduling and attending required visa interviews with the US Embassies or consulates and should submit materials in a timeframe that incorporates these requirements.
An undergraduate degree in a specific field is not a requirement; qualified students from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Applicants are evaluated individually based on their professional experience, academic credentials from accredited institutions, required documents as specified in the catalog, letters of recommendation, and stated career goals to assesses their potential for successfully completing a relevant academic program.
All applicants for admission to VUST must submit to the Admissions Office the required documents and a non-refundable $75 application fee:

Students using the VA Education benefit program are also required to provide all transcripts from postsecondary training and military experience (if applicable).
Previous Transcript & U.S. Equivalency:
All applicants must submit official transcripts, or notarized or attested copies of transcripts, from all colleges or universities previously attended (whether or not a degree was earned). Transcripts for degrees earned outside of the U.S. must be evaluated by a member of the Association of International Credential Evaluators (AICE), or the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO), or the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES), or by any other authorized U.S.-based agency. The University recommends using the International Education Research Foundation, Inc. (IERF). For admission to all graduate programs, a bachelor’s transcript or its U.S. equivalency is required.
Note: For a transfer student who was once admitted by an accredited, degree-granting institution in the U.S.A., VUST does not require foreign credential evaluation as part of the admission process. An original transcript from the U.S. institution is needed to prove that the student was admitted to a degree program and to process transfer credit toward VUST.
A student admitted to a University program is not officially enrolled in the program until after they have signed the Enrollment Agreement and completed registration for the first term, with the required tuition and fees paid.
