The Virginia University of Science & Technology (VUST) Honorable Expert Advisory Board (HEAB) is composed of distinguished experts and leaders in higher education development and planning, university management and strategy, international cooperative education, fundraising, regional accreditation processes, and U.S. higher education policy. Members are drawn from some of the world’s most prestigious universities and government agencies.

The Honorable Advisory Board serves in an honorary capacity. Members do not hold employment status at VUST and receive no salary or compensation; however, honorariums may be provided in recognition of their service. Their primary role is to provide independent, expert guidance that supports VUST’s mission, vision, and sustainable growth.

HEAB members are not assigned specific operational tasks or administrative responsibilities. Instead, they serve as honorary advisors and volunteers. Each member is appointed for a renewable three-year term. Participation requires attending the annual HEAB meeting, either in person or via teleconference if necessary.
