VUST Special Tuition Assistance
Programs (TAP)
The Virginia University of Science & Technology (DBA: VUST) offers tuition assistance to eligible students to help offset a portion of their tuition and fees. VUST provides three (3) types of tuition assistance programs, which are described below:

A. Veteran Service TAP & Yellow Ribbon Program
Description and Objective
Supports U.S. veterans pursuing graduate education at VUST.
Eligibility Criteria
Proof of U.S. veteran status with a minimum of three months of military service.
Amount to Be Awarded
This assistance ensures that veterans’ full tuition is covered, with no additional costs beyond GI Bill benefits.
B. DMV Community Tuition Assistance Program (CTAP):
Description and Objective
Assists residents of the DMV area with partial tuition coverage.
Eligibility Criteria
Residency in Virginia, Maryland, or Washington, DC; maintenance of a GPA of 3.00 or above while enrolled at VUST.
Amount to Be Awarded
$5,000 total applied beginning in the second term, prorated based on course load..

C. American Priority Tuition Assistance Program (ATAP):
Description and Objective
Assists American Citizens with partial tuition coverage.
Eligibility Criteria
All American citizens and PRs and maintenance of a GPA of 3.00 or above while enrolled at VUST.
Amount to Be Awarded
$3,250.00 total applied beginning in the second term, prorated based on course load.
