The Virginia University of Science & Technology (DBA: VUST) also offers tuition assistance scholarships to eligible students. The tuition assistance scholarship will be used to cover a portion of the student’s tuition and fees. There are three (3) types of tuition assistance scholarships, described as follows:

A. Veteran Service Scholarship (Dependent on Service)

Virginia University of Science & Technology (VUST) is committed to supporting the veterans by offering affordable tuition to create more qualified cybersecurity professionals to serve in the Northern Virginia area. Effective April 2024, VUST is introducing a Veteran Service Scholarship Program for all veterans throughout the United States. To qualify, the student must prove that they are a U.S. veteran who has served in the military for at least three (3) months.  This scholarship ensures that veterans will have their full tuition covered, with no additional costs beyond what their GI Bill benefits provide

B. DMV Community Scholarship of $5,000.00 (12 courses):

Residents of Virginia, Maryland, and Washington DC (DMV) who are students at VUST will be eligible for the DMV Community Scholarship, valued at $5,000.00, applicable to the Master’s Program consisting of 12 courses/54 credits. Particularly

– A $1,000 scholarship per term, starting from the second term, if a student takes only two (2) courses per term (must complete six (6) terms to finish the program); OR

– A $1,666.67 scholarship per term, starting from the second term, if a student takes three (3) courses per term (must complete four (4) terms to finish the program); OR

– A $2,500.00 scholarship per term, starting from the second term, if a student takes four (4) courses per term (must complete three (3) terms to finish the program.

– To maintain eligibility, students must keep a GPA of 3.00 or above while studying at VUST. Failure to meet this requirement will result in the termination of the scholarship..

C.   American Priority Scholarship of $2,500.00 (12 courses)

American students who are not residents of the DMV area will be eligible for the American Priority Scholarship of $2,500.00 at VUST for the Master’s Program, consisting of 12 courses/54 credits.

– This scholarship provides $1,250.00 per term, available exclusively for the last two terms, to assist students in completing their master’s program at VUST.

– To maintain eligibility, students must keep a GPA of 3.00 or above while studying at VUST. Failure to meet this requirement will result in the termination of the scholarship.
