VUST Application Process for Veterans

2070-4

Virginia University of Science and Technology (VUST) is proud to offer graduate education for the men and women in uniform who bravely serve this country, those who have served, and their families. VUST is dedicated to providing the highest quality and comprehensive support to student veterans and their families in an atmosphere that provides commitment, respect, and academic excellence.
Applications are accepted throughout the year, and new students can be admitted for each academic term at VUST. Applicants are advised to provide ample time for the University to complete its admissions and academic evaluation processes if they wish to commence their studies at VUST in a specific academic term.

An undergraduate degree in a specific field is not a prerequisite; qualified applicants from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to submit their applications. Individual assessments are conducted based on applicants’ professional experience, academic credentials from accredited institutions, the required documentation specified in the catalog, letters of recommendation, and their declared career objectives to evaluate their suitability for successfully completing a relevant academic program.

1. Apply for VA Benefits

All Veterans, National Guard/Selected Reserve members, and Survivors and Dependents of Disabled Veterans can apply online for benefits. Applications are available at benefits.va.gov/gibill. From there, applicants are directed to the eBenefits website for the online application. A Certificate of Eligibility from the Department of Veteran Affairs is sent to the student after the application is processed. Send a copy of the Certificate of Eligibility to the Veterans Affairs Office at VUST.

2. Select a Program

Virginia University of Science & Technology offers three programs, which are:

A. Master of Science in Cybersecurity & Information Assurance (MSCIA):

You should ensure the program you choose is one you are interested in and want to pursue as your future career.
